Botox
is a dynamic treatment for facial wrinkles, made from Botulinum Toxin, that is enabling thousands of men and women to restore a smooth and youthful appearance to their faces. Botox is much different than typical skin "fillers". Using tiny needles in a routine office procedure, Botox is gently injected into facial muscles, which relaxes them and actually removes wrinkles instead of simply filling them in. An entire Botox procedure is generally pain free and takes only a matter of minutes.
When injected into the facial muscles around your eyes and brow, Botox causes them to relax within 24 to 72 hours. By relaxing these muscles, you're no longer able to tighten and contract them in a manner that creates the wrinkles associated with squinting and stressful concentration. Botox works by blocking nerve impulses to the facial muscles, which prevents you from tightening the skin around your eyes and brow. As a result, your skin slowly flattens and smoothes itself over. The procedure is quick and does not require a sedative. Some practices may choose to apply a local anesthetic.
With Botox, wrinkles and frown lines that you once thought would stay with you for the rest of your life, can be eliminated and replaced with a youthful vibrant look that improves your appearance and boosts your self-confidence.
Microdermabrasion has become one of the most popular new treatments for skin resurfacing and for good reason. It is a light to medium depth peel that results in smoother, younger looking skin with no "down time". Microdermabrasion is for most skin types and successfully treats conditions such as acne, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
How
is it done? The treatment is really quite simple. Microcrystals
flow at a very high speed via handpiece to remove surface cells from
the skin, leaving it smooth and soft. The skin may feel warm and tingly
for the rest of the day, but the greatest benefit is that the patient
can leave after the treatment with smooth, glowing skin and resume
normal daily activity.
